Low Flow Out of Reverse Osmosis

Question:

I just replaced the filter on my APRO5500 system and it continues to have a significant decrease in output. It starts out with a normal flow but quickly decreases to a trickle. If I turn it off for a few minutes it will have significant flow again but significantly decreases as before. Do I need to contact a plumber or Reverse Osmosis service company?

Why is the Hole in the Side of My RO Spout Leaking?

The Question:

Why is the hole in the side of my RO spout leaking?

The Answer:

A water leak from a reverse osmosis system's faucet relief hole, or air gap, is a frequent issue, known as an air gap leak. Often, when water leaks from this hole it is an indication that your RO's drain tube is clogged or blocked. When food or other debris plugs the drain line it prevents the water from entering your actual drain. Luckily, this is a pretty easy fix.
